Acommodation for Students in Düsseldorf
New in D-town? We offer students the possibility to stay in one of our GoAcademy! apartments.
International students can book a single room or a twin room in our apartments where they share a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen.
Accommodation with host families consist of either a single room with breakfast (B&B) or halb board (HB). A Hotel room can be booked on request.
A one-time placement fee of 90 euros must be paid at the time of booking. We charge a deposit which will be refunded at departure, in case the room or apartment is in good condition.
Arrivals are on Sundays, depature on Satudays.

At the same time, the city has a leading role in the international trade fair scene, such as the Medica, Boot or Fashion shows, which attract exhibitors and guests from all over the world.
Düsseldorf's colorful array of museums, galleries, theaters, restaurants, cinemas, sports clubs, cafés, bars and boutiques make its life very dynamic and varied.
An excellently developed public transportation network provides quick and easy access to the numerous venues and squares.
GoAcademy! offers accommodation options in different parts of Düsseldorf, which can be easily reached either by foot or by public transport. An underground/tram station is located directly across the street from GoAcademy! IH Düsseldorf.
Düsseldorf's Attractive Architecture and Location
Düsseldorf does not only have a cozy old town with typical Altbier pubs and historic buildings, but also modern buildings by renowned architects, such as the Kö-Bogen by Daniel Libeskind or the leaning buildings by Frank Gehry in the popular Medienhafen.
And for those who are drawn to nature: With the Hofgarten, Nordpark, Unterbacher See or the Rheinauen, Düsseldorf offers extensive green spaces, swimming lakes and hiking trails for excursions.
Düsseldorf is located in the immediate proximity of several German cities such as Cologne, Dortmund or Mönchengladbach and only a few hours' drive from Amsterdam, Paris or Brussels.
The city has a large main train station and one of the largest international airports in Germany, which enable to reach Düsseldorf easily and to plan future trips abroad.

For bookings of at least 12 weeks, the surcharge is waived for the first 4 weeks.
For bookings of at least 24 weeks, the price applies from the first week.

A Studio Apartment is a private 1-bedroom apartment with its own bathroom and kitchen, perfect for maximum privacy and independence.
Yes. Both single and shared rooms are available, depending on availability.
Standard Apartments: 20–35 minutes on foot or by public transport; Comfort Flats: 5–10 minutes on foot; Studios: 10–25 minutes on foot.
On average, 2–4 students share one flat. In larger apartments, up to 6 students may live together.
Yes, if available. Please let us know your preference when booking.
Yes. Each room comes with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, desk lamp, and bedding.

Bed linen and kitchen utensils are provided. You only need to bring your own towels.
Yes, all accommodations have internet access.
Comfort Flats always have washing machines. Some Standard Apartments may have one; otherwise, laundromats are nearby.
Meals are not included. Students cook in the shared kitchen.
Yes. Essential appliances such as stove, fridge, microwave, and kettle are provided.
Pets are not allowed in shared flats. Small pets may be allowed in Studios; please ask before booking.
Yes. You can put your name on the mailbox and receive letters and packages at your accommodation.

Everything: heating, electricity, weekly cleaning (bathroom and floor), bedsheets, and German broadcasting tax (GEZ).
Yes. Weekly cleaning of bathroom and floors. Students are responsible for their rooms and daily tasks like dishes and kitchen cleaning.
Contact accommodation support. Maintenance will fix issues as quickly as possible.
Rules & Practical Information
Yes, during the day, as long as they do not disturb other students. Overnight stays are not allowed.
No curfew, but students should respect quiet hours and be considerate of flatmates.
Yes, if staying more than 3 months. GoAcademy provides the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung required by the Bürgerbüro.
Check-in: usually Sundays before the course starts. Check-out: usually Saturdays after the course ends. Detailed instructions are sent before arrival.
Yes. Current students are guaranteed the possibility to extend their room. Notify us at least 4 weeks before the end of your contract. Students on 4-week contracts can request an extension during their first week. Late requests may result in the room being rented to others.
Yes. A deposit is required upon arrival and refunded when moving out, provided the room and flat are in good condition.
