Scholarship for International Medical Students
The funding project aims to support international medical students from abroad who are preparing to begin their professional careers in Germany. Through this initiative, GoAcademy! Language School Düsseldorf seeks to provide targeted assistance by focusing on two key areas: language preparation for the Medical German Language Examination (Fachsprachprüfung) and guidance throughout the professional recognition process. In this way, the project helps participants make a successful transition into the German healthcare system.
Who can apply
International medical students from abroad with advanced German language skills who are pursuing a medical career in Germany.
Funding provided
• A partial scholarship of €200,
granted as a discount on the tuition fee for an FSP preparation course at GoAcademy!
• Ongoing guidance and support throughout the programme
• The registration fee is waived for selected scholarship recipients
Selection criteria
• Demonstrated German language proficiency at B2 level or higher, ideally C1
• Strong motivation and a clear commitment to pursuing a medical career in Germany
• Concrete plans to take the Medical German Language Examination (Fachsprachprüfung, FSP) in the near future
Course Content and Ongoing Support
• Preparation in medical German, including doctor–patient communication, medical history taking (anamnesis), documentation, and exam simulations
• Training designed and delivered by qualified instructors and medical professionals with practical clinical experience
• Support in preparing the required documents for the Medical Association (Ärztekammer) and for FSP registration
• Guidance throughout the professional recognition process
Application Documents
• Tabular CV (résumé)
• Letter of motivation
• Proof of German language proficiency at a minimum of B2 level
• Proof of studies / enrolment certificate or graduation certificate
Application Process and Deadlines
Applications may be submitted up to three weeks before the desired course start date. Selection is based on the submitted documents and the above-mentioned selection criteria, and may include a short personal interview. Up to three partial scholarships are awarded per application round.
