There are certain countries which do not need a visa to study at a German university. Among them are Canada, United States, Australia, Honduras, Japan, Republic of Korea, Iceland, Israel, Norway, New Zealand, Switzerland and nationals from EU countries. If you are a national from one of these countries, you just need to register for a German course at GoAcademy! in the event you meet the appropriate qualifications to study in Germany.
Otherwise, you can check on the official website of the German Federal Foreign Office to confirm whether you require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. In certain cases, you will additionally require a letter of acceptance or proof of your German proficiency. Countries marked with a “yes” will require a (student) visa.
GoAcademy! assists you with visa requirements and supports you with a Letter of Acceptance in order to start your German course at GoAcademy! IH Düsseldorf.
GoAcademy! offers its international students the possibility of staying in one of its shared apartments.
The GoAcademy! University Pathway Programme includes one month of accommodation. This way students can meet other students from the academy and make new acquaintances as well as new friends.
GoAcademy! has apartments in different parts of the city which are easy to reach, either on foot or public transportation. A subway/tram station is located directly across the street from the academy, and a regional train station is only a 10-minute walk away.

Our University Pathway Programme prepares foreign students for university studies in Germany.
University Pathway is a series of steps that you take before enrolling at a university, college or business school. Our University Pathway Programme is specially designed to promote your preparation for university studies, enabling you to apply to higher education in Germany.
Our programme includes intensive German courses to achieve an advanced level of German that will be required during university; as well as support during the search for the right study programme for you. We also prepare you for the required language exam and support you in the enrollment process at colleges, universities, business schools and Studienkolleg.
In other words, University Pathway is a preparatory course that can enable you to follow your own path to success.

Anyone can apply to a German university. However, there are different ways to study at a German university or college. The main requirements are of course an advanced level of German, which can be proven by a telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule or TestDaF certificate and a high school diploma equivalent to German Abitur.
GoAcademy! is an official German language test center for international language certificates recognized worldwide. Thus, students can focus on learning the German language properly and taking official German exams at our school, while we will help them with the rest.
Depending on the country of your studies, there can be direct access to university in Germany or indirect access through a preparatory year called Studienkolleg. Each university decides whether the student's graduation certificate in question is equivalent to the Abitur or not.
A Studienkolleg is an institution in charge of preparing foreign students for university studies in Germany whose graduation certificate is not recognized as equivalent to the Abitur. Foreign students are prepared for higher education qualifications at universities or universities of applied sciences in a one-semester or two-semester preliminary academic training program. Preparatory courses are divided into the following groups: T-Course for technical studies, including engineering, math, physics and chemistry. M-Course for medical studies, including medicine, biology, dentistry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine. W-course for social sciences, including business administration, economics and law. G-Course for Humanities.
German is the language of instruction. Foreign students need at least a B2 level of German in order to enter a Studienkolleg and to pass an entry test. In some Studienkollegs it is also required to have knowledge of English for the W, T, M and G courses. At the end of the preparatory year, applicants need to pass a final exam called FPS (Feststellungsprüfung).
In case your foreign high school diploma is not recognized in Germany for admission to higher education institutes (direct or subject-based), we offer an exam that gives you the right to study at a German university.
The TestAS test is an alternative to the Studienkolleg which is a preparatory university program for non-EU citizens. In combination with German certificates such as TestDaF or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, plus a high school diploma, Resume (CV), and the TestAS examination, students from non-EU countries can also study at some of the largest universities in Germany without a Studienkolleg.
TestAS is a central standardized aptitude test for foreign students to assess their ability to study at colleges and/or universities. The test measures cognitive abilities and is aimed at applicants who are planning to study in Germany.

GoAcademy! Sprachschule Düsseldorf is a licensed test and examination center for internationally recognized language exams in different languages.
GoAcademy! offers the opportunity to prepare specifically for German language exams, as well as to acquire them subsequently with the appropriate language competence in Düsseldorf or in one of our partner schools abroad.
Proof of language proficiency at academic or governmental institutions usually requires an officially recognized language exam.

GoAcademy! Sprachschule International House offers intensive German courses with 20 units per week, starting every Monday, in all levels A1-C2. Our students can learn face-to-face on site or take part of our hybrid courses via a virtual room. Additionally, they will have access to 5 lessons of online training with our special Learn Management System (LMS). Alternatively, it is possible to take the Fast-Track with 30 units per week and, in addition, 5 lessons LMS.
It is possible to register from 12 to 48 weeks on a German course, depending on the previous German level of the participant. Our courses consist of 6 to 12 participants. Personal assistance is also included.
